Perfectly straight hair
SAMY'S BEST TIPS FOR THE BEST BLOW-OUT

I'm going to give you the scoop on the styling secrets that will give you perfectly sleek hair no matter what your hair type! I know you've been wielding a blow dryer for years but I'm going to share the steps for super smooth success and I guarantee if you use them, you'll find it'll be easier and faster to achieve a salon-perfect blow out!

Step one: Smooth in style
Squirt a dime-sized amount of a non-chemical relaxing crème into hands, try Samy Straight Relaxing Crème and rub palms together. Next, use hands to work product into hair, then use a wide-tooth comb to distribute from roots to ends. The non-chemical relaxing crème will temporarily relax you hair making it easier to strengthen it, and it will not damage your hair.

Step two: Flip then lift
The secret for creating major lift? Coaxing your hair into an upright position, to create maximum volume and add Samy Mucho Mousse Volumizing Mousse directly to the roots. Here’s how: Rub a golf ball size amount of Samy Mucho Volumizing Mousse into roots. Then, bend at the waist and flip hair upside-down. Using a high-speed dryer, concentrate air-flow at the roots so that they’ll sit straight up. If your hair is short, skip the flip and use your fingers to pinch and lift small sections at the roots. If your hair has naturally tons of volume, do not bend and blow-dry roots vertically so that hair falls flatter.

Step three: Part and divide
Comb in your usual part, then separate hair into six sections; secure each with a clip. The key is to work on one section at a time so the rest of your hair stays damp until you’re ready to dry and style it. As you work on each section, divide it into several 1”-2” sections and do not continue to the next one until the section you are working on is completely dry and straight.

Step four: Brush and blow
Unclip one of the front sections and place a large round brush under hair, close to the scalp. Aim the dryer downward to minimize frizz and move the brush slowly through to ends of hair always keeping airflow directly over the brush. Repeat brushing through and heating with dryer until section is completely dry. Once front sections are dry, clip them out of the way and continue drying back of hair. For a super straight look, use the flat iron on small sections and run it through a few times on each. Make sure it is not too hot so that the heat does not damage your hair.

Step five: Cool it down
Finally, to help lock in style, switch your dryer to the “cool” setting to “freeze” hair into place. Smooth away any frizzies with a dollop of serum, try Samy Silk Serum. Or for a lighter, sleek, finish spray on Samy i*style “just hold me” Freeze Hairspray to tame fly-aways without weighing your hair down.
